William James Harriss Bellamy papers, 1862-1865 [manuscript].

Diary of Bellamy, native of Wilmington, N.C., as a private in Company I, 18th Regiment North Carolina Volunteers, describing service at Camp Stevens, S.C., and in Virginia, January-July 1862, and as captain in two Home Guard organizations. Also included in the diary volume are transcriptions of letters from Bellamy, accounts, memoranda, and medical formulae, 1862-1865. The collection includes a hand-drawn map of the battle of Lebanon Church, Va., 27 May 1862.
